The Story
Dragon Leatherworks provided custom leather props for the Park Rangers and Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt) in the Jurassic World franchise of movies. And now we are offering the same hand-crafted Hero Knife Sheaths and Leatherman Tool Holders to you, made by the same artisan that made the movie originals. Each piece is numbered in its production sequence, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity certifying the date it was made, the number of your piece, and my signature.
A bit of history — we got the call when the movie was green-lit to get filmed, by a prop master we had worked with previously on a few smaller productions. For Jurassic World, we supplied belts for the rangers and Grady, holsters for the tranquilizer guns and stun batons worn by the rangers, the custom Hero Knife Sheath and Leatherman Tool Holder for Owen Grady, and my personal favorite, leather Velociraptor mittens.
The Replicas We Offer
We are again offering the knife sheaths and Leatherman Tool Holders for sale — built exactly as made for the original production, for the collector who wants the real thing. These are not customized or modified in any way; each one is numbered in its production sequence and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed and dated.
The Leatherman Tool Holder is designed for the Leatherman OHT multi-tool ONLY. No other Leatherman offering will fit properly.
Please be aware: the Certificate of Authenticity is ONLY provided for the exact movie-replica Leatherman OHT Tool Holder, and ONLY for the Hero Knife Sheath made to the original production specification. Custom-fit sheaths for a different knife (see below) do not receive a Certificate of Authenticity.

We can custom-fit a sheath to your own knife, but this is handled as a phone order, not through this page — we need to have your knife in-shop to do the build, and it can't be priced through a simple online selection. The following restrictions apply:
- We can build custom-fit sheaths at this price point for drop-point and small bowie-style blades ONLY.
- We cannot build a sheath for kukri-style knives at this price point — please call for custom pricing.
- We cannot build custom sheaths for skinner-style knives.
After placing a custom phone order for a sheath, we'll email you when we're ready to receive your knife, along with a job number to include with your shipment. About the Original Knife
We've received loads of calls and emails asking about the knife carried by Chris Pratt in the film — who made it, and so on. The artisan who provided the knife for Jurassic World was Steve Auvenshine, from Paris, Kentucky. He can be reached via email at knife279@gmail.com or by phone at (859) 707-0851. We don't know what he charges for his custom knives — all we know is that he's the craftsman who created the knife for the character of Owen Grady, and that he makes each one by hand, one at a time.
